The ETP is an initiative started within the tea industry to monitor and regulate living and working conditions on tea estates around the world.

As you explore our site, you may notice that certain teas and herbal blends have been marked with the letters “ETP”. What does this mean? Well, just like coffee and the issue of fair trade, tea estates and how they treat their workers vary from region to region. Because tea estates are often thousands of miles away, we wanted to ensure that wherever possible, we were purchasing our teas from estates that treat their workers responsibly. The Ethical Tea Partnership (ETP) is a member driven initiative aimed at monitoring and raising the level of awareness of social responsibility on tea estates.
