In a time where most things we put into our bodies have undergone numerous forms of processing and manufacturing quality loose leaf tea has changed very little. Sure, there may be better, more efficient ways of cultivating and drying tea but what remains constant is that the regions where our tea is sourced has seen little in the way of change. And why would they change? Hundreds of years of refinement on estates growing tea have been passed down from one family member to the next. Over the years these refinements have produced some excellent varieties of tea. And in today's world we can quickly and efficiently transport these incredible tasting teas to you.We strive to give our customers the very best products and service available
When we say tea we may think green, white, black, or even Oolong tea. But there are a multitude of beverages that do not even include what was traditionally referred to as tea (Camelia Sinensis) that today we can call tea (including Ayurvedic tea). Blend some refreshing ginger with peppermint and you'll have a spicy-cool tea with zen-like properties. Want an antioxidant rich brew without the caffeine? Rooibos (red bush) tea is right up your alley
As you explore our site, you may notice that certain teas and herbal blends have been marked with the letters “ETP”. What does this mean? Well, just like coffee and the issue of fair trade, tea estates and how they treat their workers vary from region to region. Because tea estates are often thousands of miles away, we wanted to ensure that wherever possible, we were purchasing our teas from estates that treat their workers responsibly. The Ethical Tea Partnership (ETP) is a member driven initiative aimed at monitoring and raising the level of awareness of social responsibility on tea estates.
